I'm grateful for all the things I have in my life, and that I get to live every wonderful day, but do I cherish it?
Do I cherish the possessions I own, the knowledge I have and people I know?
No, I don't think I do.
I appreciate this wonderful life God has given me, but I don't cherish it.
This got my thinking. What if everything you ever knew disappeared tomorrow and you had to start again. Start a new life, learn new things and meet new people. You'd miss your old life right? I would!
I finally decided my word for 2013 is cherish.
The cherishing starts with people.
Blog friends you are as important to me as 'real' friends. Even though we have never met you are there when I need you and have offered me advice countless times.
I cherish you.
I'm going to return that advice when you need it, be your virtual shoulder to cry on and celebrate your successes.
'Real' friends, oh how I have neglected some of you. Sometimes I feel our friendship is that strong that it can last the months of no contact, but it can't. Just like a romantic relationship ours needs to be nurtured.
I know some of us have drifted apart. I like to think its because we are at different times in our lives, and when our life paths cross again we can reconnect; I can't wait until that moment.
I vow to make our friendship top of the list from now on.
I cherish you.
Family, I know things have been difficult recently. Things will get better. I cherish you.
How do you show the people you love that you cherish them?
Cherish everything you have in your life, God made it just for you.
