365 Ahead

I don't know if its possible to find something scary, unimaginable and comforting at the same time. That is how I feel about the prospect of the 365 days stretched out in front of me.

It scares me that I don't know what is going to happen. I know what I would like to happen, but if it will is a total mystery to all of us.

I find it unimaginable that we are blessed with the days ahead to LIVE. Just living is one of the greatest feelings, everything that comes along with it is purely a great bonus.

Its comforting that although sometimes the days seem endless I know he has a plan. A big plan and one that, at the end of it, will bring me exactly what I've been looking for.

I'll be honest, I'm rubbish at keeping resolutions and I wasn't even going to make any this year, but I've had a change of heart.

2012 has been a really tough year for me. I don't really want to go into any details, because I don't really want to remember it. 2013 has officially become my new start for everything.

New me, blog, job, just a plain new life.

So here they are the resolutions. Whether I manage to stick to them is another matter, all I know is I am going to try, and that is good enough for me.

Lose the weight. You all know I've tried this again and again and its never stuck. This time it has too! I got on the scales yesterday and I'm the heaviest I've ever been. I did not like the number I saw staring back at me and I never want to see it again. Your support has been invaluable to me over the past 18 months, and I know a lot of you want to get healthier so I have organised a link-up.

There will be more information to come about this, but for now 'Weigh In' will happen on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. Leave a comment if you want more information or e-mail me if you would like to co-host one month.

Pray. I need to spend more time in pray and build up my connection with God.

Save some money.

Get a job. I have 2 interviews next week and have my fingers firmly crossed.

Grow a better community on Eat.Enjoy.Live. I'm so blessed call all of you friends, and I want to build a better community for you. I would love your advice.

Build a better blog. Better content, better look. Be more honest and more me. I want to show you guys the real me. I've been reading 'Blog Inc.', and its given me so many good ideas.

Host my first book swap. You know how obsessed I am with the things, and I know you all are too. Its time we shared and spread that obsession. Look out for this in March! Contact me if you are interested or would like to co-host.

Forget about past failures and finally open the shop. I tried with Glassy Bands and Cherry Pie Treats, both of which fell flat on their faces. I've finally found a crafting niche I am good at and I'm rolling with it.

Spend more time outside.

Continue to read.

Spend at least an hour, once a week in a coffee shop. Watching the world go by and just reflecting.

So what are your resolutions?
Do you normally stick to them?
Do you think you will stick to them this year?

Hi Helen! Happy New Year! Last year, I began posting my resolutions list and, fortunately, I was able to accomplish most of the items. This year, for 2013, I've done that again and I'm set my expectations pretty high. I look forward to 2013 and the opportunities it brings, big hugs to you!

Happy New Year Helen, I wish you all the best for 2013 and really hope things work out for you. I will send you a picture (via email) of the scripture cake that I posted on my FB page. My New Years Resolution is to Trust in God with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding (Proverbs 3 v 5-6). God Bless x

Happy New Years! You have a great list of goals. I'm so jealous that yours is "continue to read" mine is "start reading again" lol

Happy new year to you Helen! All the best to your goals for 2013. My resolution for this year having let go of the past is to travel light. Face the new year with lightness, being true to myself in pursuing what is really in my heart.
