3 Seeded Bars


These things are insanely good!

If I'm going to snack I like it to be something that fills me up, this does.
The whole family loved these, seriously loved. I have no doubt in my mind that I would make them again.

You can obviously use any seed mix you like. I used pumpkin, sunflower and sesame.

My only tip: Don't be afraid if the bars still look a little wet when you take them out of the oven. They will harden up as they cool.

3 Seeded Bars

Makes - 16
Calories per bar - 137

Ingredients:
100g butter
4 tbsp golden syrup
2 1/2 tbsp dark soft brown sugar
100g rolled oats
2 tbsp sunflower seeds
2 tbsp pumpkin seeds
2 tbsp sesame seeds
150g raisins

Method:
Preheat the oven to 170C/gas 3 and grease a 20cm square cake tin.
Heat the butter, golden syrup and sugar in a saucepan, stirring occasionally, until the butter has meted and the sugar has dissolved. This should take 3-4 minutes.
Stir in the oats, seeds and raisins and mix until combined. Spoon into the prepared tin and level the surface.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden. Cool for 5 minutes, then mark into 16 squares with a knife. Leave to cool completely in the tin before cutting into squares.
