I've not really talked about my Uni life or even my life before that. So I thought I'd take today to
Performing was in my blood from a very early age. Age 3 I was attending stage school and my first ever part was in the chorus for 'The Owl and the Pussycat: The Musical', so cringeworthy! Then I started doing panto's with my local am-dram group.
My acting didn't really hit its peak though until my A Levels.
Let's play spot Helen!
This was in improv piece called 'Behind closed eyes'.
As chorus/servant in 'Oedipus'.
Then Uni started. Half my course was drama, and I got to play a variety of roles.
'Origin of the Species'.
As the doctor in 'Treasure Island: The Musical'. We took this kids show up to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. It was one of the best experiences.
As part of the samba band we took to the Fringe.
As puck in 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. I'd always wanted to play this role. It took days to get the green day out of my hair and I was in tears from all the back combing. That's dedication for you.
I even had the chance to join a professional theatre company and be in the chorus for 'An Inspector Calls'.
Who knows which role will be next!
