I'm so excited to be writing my first post for the link party.
Thank You to everyone who's linked up already. I have loved reading your posts.
How do you get your tan?
Do you sit in the sun all day (NO!), do you fake it (You should!)
I've never been 'tanned', I've never even been a darker hint of beige. I am pale as pale can be and proud of it.
Don't get my wrong I would love to have that golden glow, but I'm not going to risk my health for it.
I tend to use the gradual tanning body moisturisers. I must have tried every single one, but now I've found my favourite.
Pale Skin
It gradually builds up a shimmering glow rather than turning me brown.
Now I know some of you lovely readers aren't pale so here you go, some of my favourites for darker skin tones.
Medium Skin
Gives you a smooth bronzed glow.
Dark Skin
Gives an instant colour on application, which develops into a deep golden colour after a few hours.
Now for my top tanning tips:
1. Exfoliate!
2. Wax or shave 24 hours beforehand.
3. Apply your tan to product free skin.
4. Use a tanning mitt.
5. Start from your feet.
6. Don't over apply.
7. Moisturise daily.
This is the important stuff.
Remember your SPF's!

Personally I have to wear SPF 50, and I still get burnt!
That's why I have these in my suitcase.
Don't you just love fashionable cover ups?

Interesting post! I don't advise those tanning beds, yet I do agree that these products can work! I live in a tropical country called the Philippines and even though I don't have access to the beaches near the city at some times due to school work, these workssss!!! awesome blog! x check mine out? :)
I feel I will need to get busy with the summer glow if the actual sun continues to be so non-existant! Pleased I found your blog :) xxx
The title of this post cracked me up! Given that I'm in Australia now I think I will be resorting to 'faking it' in the colder months. How I miss my usual sun-kissed Fijian skin! I'm loving this series Helen xoxox
hey! I found you from L.O.S.T...your newest follower! I probably need to listen to this post but I'm a chlorine junkie so I'm out in the sun constantly. Not tanning beds though, never tanning beds. Between me coaching swimming, me being a former competitive swimmer, and now my son starting swimming...yeah. It's sun for us, all summer long!
